Punta de los Roques

(National park)

It is located on a cliff of the rim that borders the Caldera de Taburiente National Park, at 2,040 metres in altitude and in the middle of the path that leads from either the Chapel of the Pino de la Virgen or the Recreational Area of El Pilar to Roque de los Muchachos. On this peak there is a freely accessible mountain refuge, prepared to accommodate a maximum of 20 people, from which a great part of the island is visible, as well as the neighbouring islands of Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro, weather permitting.
